Since Google has forced encryption on all Google searches, the search queries page will no longer show searches unless you add a self-signed certificate to your Lightspeed Rocket. These are the instructions to do so.

This process will only work when your Lightspeed Rocket is configured as a proxy server. DO NOT proceed with these steps unless your sure that your Rocket is configured as a proxy server.

  • Login to your Lightspeed Rocket
  • Click on 'Administration', then choose 'SSL Certificate' from the left menu
  • Click on 'Create Self-Signed Certificate'

  • Enter the fully qualified domain name of your Lightspeed Rocket (e.g. lightspeed.yourdomain.com)
  • Fill out all of the requested fields as well
  • Click the 'Create' button in the upper-left corner when finished

  • Scroll down to 'Web console and access page certificate' and copy the URL
  • Paste the URL into a new tab on your web browser and it should download the certificate

  • Scroll down to 'Proxy SSL certificate for Chromebook devices' and copy the URL
  • Paste the URL into a new tab on your web browser and it should download the certificate

  • Open a new tab and navigate to your Google Admin Console
  • Click on 'Device Management'
  • Select 'Network' from the left menu

  • Select 'Certificates'

Applying this certificate to Org Units that this will not apply to will NOT cause any harm. It's best to apply the certificate to your top-level Org Unit

  • Choose the organizational unit this will apply to
  • Click the 'Add Certificate' button
  • MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE THE CHROME CERTIFICATE!  Do not select the Console certificate.

MAKE SURE TO SELECT 'Use this certificate as an HTTPS certificate authority' or else this process will not work!

  • Click 'Save'
